Each year street artists, buskers and musicians from all over the world gather in Meran to perform at the Asfaltart festival. The town center then turns into an open-air stage for clowns, trapeze artists, musicians and fire eaters. The 2024 festival comprises a handicraft market and a gastronomy stall on the Passer Promenade.
“MeranOJazz” is a top-class music festival where famous jazz musicians perform unforgettable evening shows. Running in parallel will be the Central European Jazz Academy, comprising several masterclasses and workshops held by well-known European jazz artists.
Tuesday evenings enliven the town center with music and entertainment in a light and joyful atmosphere.
This series of open-air concerts, held for the twentieth consecutive time, offers musical highlights from around the globe. It is one of Italy’s most important world music festivals and features an atmospheric setting around the water-lily pond.
One of the high points of the local racing season, with the best Italian and central European racing stables competing on the flat. The day programme also features side events organized by “Merano Galoppo”
Each year, the festival offer visitors the chance to hear outstanding classical concerts in the evocative Art Nouveau atmosphere of the Kurhaus and in other magnificent settings.
First held in 1886, the Grape Festival delights guests with intriguing performances, delicious South Tyrolean food and a wide range of concerts (including some fairly experimental ones). Extremely popular, the festival offers new surprises and a spectacular parade each year.
The Merano WineFestival is one of Europe’s leading wine and food events, where renowned Italian and foreign winemakers present their finest products. There will also be a focus on organic and biodynamic wines.
